Cake for the 4th of July - Bacon + Frosting = WIN

June 24, 2013

Your feedback on the bacon flag cake and seeing all your plans to make this for your 4th of July parties really has me giddy. And you know what the benefit of having a mid-week 4th of July is, right? Parties on both ends, of course. Which means more bacon cake (I think yes). So since you might be making this Patriotic masterpiece more than once, I’d like to take some of the hard work out of it for you. It’s the least I could do. First watch this short vlog on the beginnings of the Bacon cake. (Remember when I said last week that I was going to vlog while I bake? Well, I did. Go me.) I’ve also taken the liberty to write a tweet/status update/email for you too. All you need to do is copy and paste it with the photo above onto Facebook or click on the link and it will open up the Tweet all set and ready: You know how I said we were going to bring the vegetables and ranch dip? Well, this happened so now we’re not. http://bit.ly/bacon-cake And that’s it! Hopefully the vlog and party reply take a little pressure off your back because this really is a fun cake to make. And even more fun to eat. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help. I’ll check in with you later! P.S. You will more than likely need the entire package of bacon for the cake so as tempting as it is to sneak a few pieces into your mouth, try to refrain till the end.
