I'm Going To Be In People Magazine!
Day #13 of The 90-Day Do Something Big Project I had just finished lifting yesterday when I checked my email. From Jill: GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally :) I love how excited Jill gets. It’s unquestionable that I’m going to break out in smiles when I receive emails in all capitals with a gazillion exclamation points. People magazine wants to do a page on The Dollop Book of Frosting! People magazine! It’s the 9th most read magazine in the country. This is big. Right? I would say that I never thought I’d ever be in People magazine but in all honesty, I’ve envisioned it. Yeah. I’ve flipped through that magazine on airplanes, in grocery stores, on the bench at Barnes & Noble, while waiting in doctor’s offices, and I’ve envisioned my face on one of those pages. In reality I never thought it would happen but I kind of thought it could happen. Does that make sense? You get me. The story isn’t going to run until the beginning of the New Year so patience will be had. Yesterday afternoon Cass and I did the photo shoot for the recipes for the blog tour. They turned out great! I’m really excited to share them all with you. The concept of the blog tour circles around making frostings from The Dollop Book of Frosting and creatively packaging them as holiday gifts. Inexpensive, from the heart, and delicious. You can’t go wrong. Plus, homemade frosting packaged beautifully beats a fruitcake as a hostess gift any day. Today I’ll be putting together the holiday blog tour plan of attack and pitching bloggers to get them on board. We’re thinking of starting the tour on November 18th,19th, and 20th and running it every Monday and Tuesday until the week before Christmas. How does this sound to you? Yesterday I also set up a couple meetings for this week to further discuss the Dollop Frosting line. I have high hopes for some big yes’s.
