I Was Making Frosting On Live TV This Morning

Day #27 of The 90-Day Do Something Big Project So THAT was fun! Seriously, the people at WHAM-13 are freakin' awesome. And bonus--they truly loved my frosting. You can tell when someone really really loves what you make and when they're just saying they love it. You know? Suffice to say they actually really loved my frosting and I'm beyond thrilled about it. Especially that fact that Evan loved it. Evan's a fellow author and Evan knows food. So when he mentioned that my Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Frosting was the perfect balance of flavors, I smiled from deep inside. The things I forgot to mention on TV this morning were my website, my upcoming book signings, and my People Magazine story. So basically anything that had to do with self-promotion. I'm the worst at self-promotion. The absolute worst. Ask the people who know me. Hopefully this morning's viewers will find their way here via Google (since I was so unhelpful in directing). If you're one of them, I welcome you! Hello! The recipe I demonstrated on TV this morning was the Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Frosting from The Dollop Book of Frosting.

To make the donuts:

1 roll buttermilk biscuit dough

1-2 cups vegetable or canola oil

Separate the biscuits onto a flat service. Using a small round cookie cutter, punch a hole in the center of each biscuit. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. One at a time, place the biscuit in the oil, frying each side for 30 seconds. Remove from oil and let cool on a paper towel. Continue until all donuts and donut holes are fried.

That's it! How. Easy! This is the perfect recipe for Halloween tomorrow and also for Thanksgiving dessert for the kids. Just whip up the Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Frosting, set out some FDV's (Frosting Delivery Vehicles) and dishes of toppings, and let the frosting and decorating commence!
